Analysis
We can use the Track Titan software to analyse and compare a community driver to the HYMO driver through Turns 10 and 11 of Snetterton. This is a very difficult section to get right. You have to be incredibly smooth with your throttle input through Turn 10 to keep the car stable. The community driver (in dark blue) isn’t very smooth, quickly going from 0 to 100% throttle input multiple times through this corner. This causes them to lose around 3 tenths of a second when combined with the bad exit and slower speed down the next straight.
The most important place to look here is the throttle input. The community driver is jabbing the throttle pedal, which not only means they are unsettling the car, but they are also applying too much throttle. This means they have to spend more time off the throttle to avoid understeering away from the inside of the corner. The HYMO driver on the other hand, is very smooth with their throttle input, meaning they can maintain speed while keeping full grip and staying at the inside of the corner.
