Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, located in Italy, is a technical and fast-paced track. It is characterised by its 4.2 km length with 16 turns and is steeped in motorsport tradition with a modern touch. Renamed to honour the late MotoGP rider, its layout balances technical sections with high-speed straights, challenging drivers and riders alike. Analysis

The analysis below uses the Track Titan platform to compare a HYMO reference hotlap to one of the Track Titan community drivers through Segment 1. We see below that the refence driver uses the full use of the brakes early on, whereas, the community driver only reaches a max of 90%. The reference driver then comes off the brakes faster and earlier, aiding turn in. The community driver has wasted high downforce braking potential and then holds the brakes for longer towards the corner and this then also impacts their minimum speed. It costs them 0.1s overall.

Hot Laps Top Tips

In dry conditions, the ideal racing line is the fastest and most direct path through a corner, typically entering wide, hitting the apex, and exiting wide. However, in wet conditions, this line often becomes slippery due to rubber build-up, making it less ideal. Instead, drivers take a wider line through the corner in the wet, avoiding the standard racing line's slick areas. This "wet line" involves braking earlier, turning later, and sometimes using more of the track to find areas with better grip. ACC simulates this for dynamic weather sessions.
